The grinches that stole America

I wish that on this Christmas Eve I could bring good news, but alas, I cannot. Well, I take that back… I’m with family today, and the idea of family is what helps me hold optimism for the future of our country.

But let there be no doubt, a group of US Senators is out to rip from us our liberties and rights to be free. And what’s worse is the fact that they do so pretending that it’s what we the people desire. The arrogance and ignorance is astounding.

Just watch and listen to what Harry Reid had to say after bribing and strong arming his band of thugs in the Senate to support his anti-American legislation.

These thugs in the Senate have perverted the process entrusted to them, illegally paid for votes through bribery and crooked backdoor deals, openly ignored the constitution (which, by the way, also makes it clear that the Senate cannot give advantage to one state over another through legislation), and clearly ignore the will of the people with regards to this healthcare bill.

At this point, it’s apparent that the Senate is operating under one of two paths.

1) Complete Ignorance
In this scenario, the Senate should be held immediately accountable and we the people should begin some sort of proceedings to remove them or force them to step down.

If a Senator, a person who holds enormous power in this world, has proven to be reckless and ignorant in his/her form of governance, he/she becomes a danger to our country.

Since when do we as a free people allow a reckless and out of control government to lead us to a cliff at a pace that will force us over the edge?

2) Malicious Intent
I’m inclined to believe this is the more probable scenario. These Senate thugs are not idiots. I believe they know what they’re doing and I believe they have full intent to grab power in ways that we can’t even imagine.

Through this healthcare legislation, our economy will be completely gutted and permanently crippled. Our rights will be trampled, our liberties tossed out the window and our constitution destroyed.

With each new day this becomes more apparent. Not just to us who operate outside of government, but also to those elected to represent us.

So, if a US Senator is aware of what this legislation will do to our country, yet presses on to pass it anyway, the intent must be malicious.

Either way, we need to begin having a very serious conversation about a path of removal for these thugs. If there are not ways to recall them, there must be ways to press charges or file mass lawsuits. Citizens arrest certainly comes to mind…

And while we ponder these options, we must also begin working on a unified effort to remove these people from power through the ballot box should all else fail.

I hate to bring you such terrible news just a day before Christmas, but I do so with the hope that you’ll emerge from the Holiday week with a focused frame of mind and a willingness to aggressively confront this madness.

War has been declared against us. It’s our duty to fight back.

With that said, please try and have a merry day tomorrow. But also remember that our founding fathers had few breaks when they fought tyranny. We shouldn’t become lackadaisical in our efforts and we should strive to avoid doing so.

May your Holidays contain safe travels and much time with family!

-Eric Odom

UPDATE: I’ve added some basic information about recalling a Senator here.

Americans need to continue to unite. We should be able to prevail, because we are “on fire”. We have to overcome Governments (our) money used against us in the form of paying Acorn to work against we citizens. We need to use the states to help us stand up. Since the states are going to receive budget busting mandates, state’s Attorney Generals should unite to challenge the Constitutionality of many of these bills. Perhaps working on the state level we will be able to roll back much of this legislation.

Never in my lifetime would I have expected to see this power grab of the greatest country on earth by a bunch of thugs who we the people put in office!
From family to friends, I talk till I am blue in the face to people who have their heads in the clouds and cannot believe the stupidity
    of these airheads.
Does anyone know of how we could get a total number of true patriots in this country? Start a national list somehow to see exactly where we are at. Last I heard that there were 15 mil in the teaparty groups.
It is amazing how many people I have run into that don’t even know about this, but were delighted to hear about us.
Free ads in newspapers and magazines would go a long way. Any ideas?

While Congress is taking over the automobile industry, health care, etc. no one seems to notice that family courts (via federal avenues and closed records) across our nation are now systematically destroying our children’s right to have access to both parents. About 85% of fathers are relegated to every other weekend visits with their kids. How can a dad be more than a friend with such little access to their children? Our government is hitting us from all sides, the most cruel being our children, our future. We as a nation must vote out incumbants and elect those who will work for the citizens, not themselves and their political parties.

Listen Up! While everyone is focused on healthcare, our sneaky senate is trying to pass the amnesty bill fast. Making illegals legal within 24 hours of applying and filling out papers. This includes all, even criminals. This has to be stopped! This will get Obama a second term.

Written in 1850 but spot on in terms of relevancy today.
“The Law” by Frederick Bastiat - 1850, delineating the normal progression of governments and societies from Independence and Liberty to socialism, thence to tyranny and despotism, usually in less than a century, due to the insidious threat to liberty of the “power of public plunder”

I am praying for God’s divine intervention. You criminals! You will pay for this! God Bless America!

Here is a more detailed overview of how to recall a US Senator. This was posted by ThePatriotMind on a forum I frequent periodically, and appears to be pretty good info…

18 states allow for recall votes on US Senators. The 18 states allowing for recall are as follows: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington and Wisconsin.

The Senate oath of office is:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

It is clear that the mandate requiring citizens to purchase insurance from private corporations is unconstitutional. As soon as the Senate votes on the “health care” bill 60 Senators will be in violation of their oath of office.

Some of the Senators are up for reelection but some are not and those should face recall votes based upon their failure to fulfill their oath of office.

How to Recall a U.S. Senator

    Instructions

    1.
    Step 1

Consider your location. Few states allow for a recall of a senator—only 18 and the District of Columbia. If you’re not living in one of these states you have no constitutional rights to recall.
    2.
    Step 2

Determine the grounds for recall. You’ll need this information to make your case to the population but in 7 of the 18 states specific grounds are actually required. In these states, if your reasons don’t measure up, you won’t be allowed to proceed with the recall.
    3.
    Step 3

Get signatures. You’ll need a petition to get a recall election. The number of signatures is usually a percentage of the voters at the last election but this differs by state.
    4.
    Step 4

Prepare for a response. At some point during the process, the senator will be notified that a petition for recall is being circulated. She will then have a chance to respond to the allegations.
    5.
    Step 5

Get voters to the recall election. Once the recall election is granted, alert the community and get them out to vote. The ballot will ask whether or not the senator should be recalled and the state may hold an election at the same time to elect the next person for that office.

    Tips & Warnings

    *
The 18 states allowing for recall are as follows: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington and Wisconsin.
    *
A website or a phone campaign are good ways to get your petition going. Going door-to-door is also an option although it is more time consuming than the other two. This is important since you only have a set number of days to obtain the correct number of signatures—anywhere from 30 to 180 days.
    *
You will be fighting an uphill battle to recall a U.S. Senator. No member of Congress has ever been recalled in the history of the United States.

  9. Carl says:

In addition to all-out incumbant vote-out in 2010 and 2012, each of us needs to pursue our state legislators to pass a law allowing recall of turncoat congressmen and women by referendum. There are currently 18 states that allow some form of representative recall (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington and Wisconsin). We need to work with our current legislators in each of the remaining states to enact similar legislation. Furthermore, those of you in the states that already have these laws should be POUNDING your state for action RIGHT NOW. If you want to send a message to these thugs, this would be the most effective way to start!

I’m fearful of the 3rd option here, they are thinking Communism was right(And for the love of God look at what happened with Russia). Because if they are, we are doomed, and I pray that is not what they are trying to do.

I don’t want to call congress the Grinch, because at least the Grinch had a change of heart.

Nancy and Harry like Obma have no heart to change.

  11. PghVince says:

Chill, folks, WE THE PEOPLE, have the power to set term limits for usless, irrelevent, corrupt politicians from the lowest to the highest, on Election day!!!!
You can’t seriously believe that our congress members will do anything to ‘bite the hand that feeds them??’ They won’t do anything to hamper their political careers, or give us any more tools to hand them ‘pink slips,’ but WE can and will!!
WE will decide who goes and who stays and how long WE let them stay!!
It ain’t gonna work any other way, it’s up to you and me, ALL OF US, each and every LEGAL voter in the country!! WE have to guarantee and DEMAND that ALL future elections are LEGAL, American citizens WITH photo IDs, not the farcical, fraudulent experience of November, 2008!!
    NO exceptions, NO excuses!!
WE THE PEOPLE, have the power!! Use it wisely!!

  12. Abraham Lincoln warned us that if this country falls, it will be from within. Thank you Eric Odom and the Tea Party Patriots - indeed the time has come! Congress is NOT following the rules - and, neither can we any longer. Indeed, Congress (under the guise of Reid, “Princess” Pelosi, et al.) appears to be guilty of sedition against the U.S. CONSTITUTION and the PEOPLE of the United States of America. In short, class action lawsuit anyone? But nothing less than immediate steps toward Senatorial Recalls - Now!

This is supposed to be a system of checks and balances. The courts should decide if the language of this bill is constitutional. Will anyone be brave enough to take this terrible bill to the court system for review?

It is time to get really tough. I took an oath in 1965 as a 19 year old draftee, to defend a piece of paper called the U.S. Constitution. Not this country, but the piece of paper. My son is in the USMC in afghanistan right now defending the same piece of paper. My oath is still in effect. That piece of paper is still in effect but is getting ripped to shreds by these people in Washington. BOTH PARTIES. Evereyone out of office, term limits. 1 term, 1 term 1term.

  17. Mary K says:

After the Christmas gift from the Senate I hope it’s game on—- vote all incumbents out.

  18. Peterson says:

I gree with Brian below that it is definitely past time to reclaim our government. I am all for everyone having access to health care, but we already have that. Vote out all incumbents, institute term limits to eliminate ‘career politicians’ If we could vote via the internet these BABOONS would be out of office! We really do need 1 term limits, these guys are too famous on T.V. and they are making $$MILLIONS on sweet side deals! Does anybody disagree?

  19. Cherie Hamilton says:

I wish I could say I had any good feelings about anything going on in this country. We still have so many ignorant people who really think this is going to be good for America. It almost reminds me of the movie the body snatchers. It makes no other sense to me how you could watch these idiots ruin your country and still pretend it is for the good. We must continue to fight and even harder now. On another note did anyone see the agreement OBAMA signed on December 17th. Obama signed and placed the united states under the authority of the International Police Organization known as Interpol. Granting full immunity to operate in the United States. You don’t need to be a rocket!

  20. Jerold D. Hunter, Sr says:

These people, I can’t bring myself to address them as men and women. They have no integrity and nothing more than thugs to be spat upon. Please do this at the very first opportunity.

  21. Coco says:

His liberal administration ha gone to far. off with their heads in 2010 and impeach right away. he has a fuckin Mao ornament hangin froma tree. communist. look at what happened christmas time when a guy tried to blow up a airine with 278 or more people on it. there will be more of that since Obama doesn’t care about security. . he claims healthcare reform will help the economy. no it won’t. spending is not going to help us go on into 2012.

  22. Goose says:

If there is a case against them. I’ll chip in for lawyer fees.

Our insurance company in response to this health plan has raised our monthly rates and tacked on a 2,000 deductable. They are responding just like the credit card companies when Obama want to take control. They responded back with higher interest before Obama takes over.

  23. Vickie Davis says:

Hell, get the lawyers that defended OJ Simpson to start proceedings, and gather up all the money needed through the tea party affiliates to get this going now! If everyone donated what they can, that should be alot of people as I see it, then we should get this done before New Year’s Day. This will be our New Year’s resolution, to get rid of once and for all anyone that lies, cheats, rapes, and steals the American people of our rights and freedoms of this constitution! LET’S ROLL!
