Tea Party Patriots to Storm Senate Offices

logo

It is time, once again, to flex our muscle and exert that influence to hold the line in our fight against the government takeover of healthcare. The Senate is busy working on the details of a government run health care bill and they would like to pass it as quickly as possible. Some of them are under the false impression that we’ve given up and gone away just because they haven’t heard much from us in the past few days. And those Senators who have not made a final decision on how to vote are in danger of leaning in the wrong direction. We must remind them that our steadfast opposition to a government takeover of health care is as strong now as it has been all along.

So here’s the plan. On Tuesday, December 15 at 8:45 AM thousands of us will meet in Washington, DC at the fountain in Upper Senate Park. From there we will march to the Senate offices, go inside, and demonstrate our opposition to the government takeover of health care. We call this plan “Government Waiting Rooms”. The intention is to go inside the Senate offices and hallways, and play out the role of patients waiting for treatment in government controlled medical facilities. As the day goes on some of us will pretend to die from our untreated illnesses and collapse on the floor. Many of us plan to stay there until they force us to leave. A backup location for this demonstration will be announced if they block us from entering the offices.

We need as many of you as possible to be there to make our point loudly and clearly. Please make plans to attend. We know it’s a sacrifice to do this right before Christmas. But throughout history American Patriots have made far greater sacrifices than this to protect our liberty. Now the burden (and the honor) falls on us.

If you plan to attend please do four things.

1.) Use your cell phone to send a text message with just the letters “TPP” to 67292.

2.) Second, fill out the form at the following website (http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dDhad3VoVVRKenFRd3VTQkZqQjBfY0E6MA).

3.) Ask everyone you know to donate money to help us cover the logistical costs of organizing this protest by CLICKING HERE TO DONATE.

4.) Ask everyone you know to come to DC with us on the 15th and join in the fight.

If you cannot attend, you can still help by DONATING MUCH NEEDED FUNDS to help us fight the government takeover of healthcare. CLICK HERE TO DONATE.

YOU CAN ALSO MAIL YOUR DONATIONS TO:

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in Washington and at future events around the country.

Every time I hear the term “teabaggers”
I want to grab that AZZ and ring their necks. I say to all you people to get your azz out of my country. We do not need your kind here to further corrupt this nation. You have no respect for all the people who have died for our liberties which gives you the right to say what you want. GET OUT, I am sure that there are other countries that are more to your liking.

  2. PACoservative says:

As we see this garbage legislation come to a vote and pass, what is the next step? THe republicans have filed a motion to say the bill is unconstitutional. I agree with this but I am not sure the courts will listen unless we are loud enough to make them hear us. SO the question is, what do we do next?

  3. Marsha Young says:

Is it just me or is everyone else just abhored by what the American Senate and possibly the Congress will be passing as a healthcare reform bill. That will lay nowhere under our Constition in its wording. This bill, if inacted, will take away a multitude of U.S. citizens rights along with a huge increase in taxation. We the People have a right to protect ourselves when it comes to a tyrannical government.

  4. Donna Baker says:

Its true what they say about health care…
if you think its expensive now, wait till
    its free.

There are NO free lunches. Somebody pays.
Guess who that “somebody” is. We tax payers with a rogue government dragging us
    into quick sand.

We will be on waiting lists just like every other country with single payer
systems. Hey, wait long enough and
the patient may not need anything further! Built in cost saving! Think
it cant happen here? Oh, but yes, it
is looming over us like a black storm
cloud and nothing good will come of it.

Further, my wife has had three surgical procedures this year for a seemingly small jaw operation. $250,000 in medical expenses and over $10,000 out of pocket expenses. The insurance companies insist that they are saving us money, BS. When the hospitals and practitioners file claims with the insurance companies, a large adjustments are applied on a contract basis. However, if you do not have insurance, you will not see the adjustment, unless you established it prior to service.
Also, am I the only one who is tired of all these PAC’s asking for donations. If we took all these donations and apply them to a health trust, we could probably offset the medical costs in this country.

  6. Dano says:

Being an independent and suffice to say, much of what I have read about the tea party movement, is just GOP talking points. Are these the same people who refused to attack the Bush administration and GOP legislatures, who had dismantled the constitution and the economy. Take the US prescription drug situation. There are thousands of drug reps worrying about losing their $100k+ positions, if an option to buy drugs from other countries is allowed. Not to mention the health insurance companies, that have been raping the American public for decades. See greybud.com, we want alternative programs for women, children and the elderly that are void of politicians and corporations. As long as there are those who continually repeat the GOP mantra, the party of “BIG Business”, we are all doomed to repeating the mistakes of the past. The venomous rhetoric that the GOP espouses, cannot serve to make a better America, just deeper divisions. Democrats just try to be too nice, but should do a little face smashing, but do not. If you try to find a pit bull in the Dem party, you will not find one. Feingold and Waxman, more like barking Chihuahuas.
We are Americans first, not government or political lackeys, repeating everything that is spoon-fed to us. If the tea party wants to do something constructive, then protest excessive state property taxation and the absolutely frivolous programs and politicians that those taxes sustain. Have you noticed that all politicians are liars and cheats. They do not deserve the respect that is so often given to them. They have their government insurance and paycheck. Why should they really worry about the little guy, except at election time. Vote out all incumbents, set one term limits and adopt a more libertarian base of small government, at the national, state and local levels. The constitution allows for the American people to dissolve the government, if it does not meet the needs of the people. Not parties, lobbyists or corporations. Stop bitching about the government and start changing it with you vote. Once politicians obtain office, all bets are off, as far as the little guy is concerned.

Have you spoken to Canadians about their experiences with their health care? I have.

Anna no one says it is only for lazy people I think the common argument is that it is not within government jurisdiction to provide healthcare for it’s citizens. Hospitals and doctors are private entities and for the government to coerce them unwillingly into any medical reform is unconstitutional. This is a basic issue of the role of government.

As for your daughter’s health I hope she gets better and fortunately she is in a nation that not only forbids a hospital from turning away a sick individual but also provides the highest quality of care in the world. If you need any guidance on this issue please feel free to post here and I will help you as best I can. I have worked in hospital administration for the last dozen years and will gladly help you where I can.

  11. Wow. Just… Wow. Are you people this retarded? Is your policy “If it’s broke, don’t fix it?”

Do yourselves a favor: Go to Google maps and get directions out of your anus for your skull.

You’re not real Americans. You’re just whiny, self-entitled sore losers who are easily fooled by the rhetoric of old men.

  12. [...] Lying his way to stalemate. The dominant intellectual force of the Republican Party? Staging “die-ins.” To protest health care expansion. Our opposition is so frivolous. Why are they so in control? [...]

  13. Anna says:

I spent the summer trying to help my uninsured adult daughter - who works two jobs and goes to college - get some medical treatment for a life-threatening problem. It didn’t happen. I am disgusted that you all are excited about this or that reform would only help “lazy” people.

  14. Thomas Moore says:

    MAJOR THREATS TO THE USA

Bi-partisan politics just does not work anymore. American voters need some new faces with innovative ideas and MORE CHOICES on key issues. If you register Independent there is no need change your political views, be they liberal or conservative. As of today approximate. 30% of the voters are registered as Independents, which is a good thing. However, without access to the primaries the bi-partisans are still are in control. WE must break the bi-partisan stranglehold to initiate changes and protect our freedoms. “United we stand, divided we fall.”

The challenge for independents is to continue building a base from the bottom up while navigating the political mainstream to identify and reach out to those allies, be they Democrat, Republican or independent who will stand with them. Millions of Americans flat don’t trust the Government. Congress only has a 21% approval rate. It’s no wonder why Senators and Representatives ignore the wants and needs of the General Public. BECAUSE THEY DON’T HAVE TO. Once they gain a seat they get regular pay raises, great benefits and they are very difficult to un-seat.

Politicians biggest fears are: 1. How to get re-elected and 2. how to prevent Term Limits and tax revolts. Why not attack these fears? Register Independent. We can pressure all politicians to start paying attention when all 50 States allow Independents to vote in the primaries. Today only 33 States allow Independents to vote in primaries. Not exactly “a government for the people and by the people”.

One way to level the playing field is to is to un-seat the “good old boys network” Did you know that some of the politicians have been in office for 10,20,30 and even 40 years? It is no easy task to un-seat the Incumbents. They have almost un-limited funds and support from large powerful corporations.

In 2010 a new census will be taken. Politicians are now pushing for the 12-20 million illegals to be included in the census in order to draw new boundaries for districts. We need your support to break the stranglehold of the politicians.

How can Americans have any . confidence in politicians who vote on 1000 page bills without reading the bills? MAJOR THREATS TO THE USA

Brilliant idea .. except wrong venue. Why not conduct the die-in at a VA Hospital, which has real “Government Waiting Rooms” in a hospital with real government-run health care with government-paid doctors, government-paid nurses and government-paid administrators?

Conduct the die-in at a VA. I dare you.

“PLEASE comport yourselves with some dignity and respect, or you risk making us all look like fools.”

Sorry, too late. Histrionics of fake deaths in a country where every day people are dying is actually more than foolish. It’s insulting to the millions who are suffering now.

Why do TeaBaggers love big insurance?

  17. Cindy Armstrong says:

Where do you people come up with these ideas? I guess you have seen news reports and videos of real people dying in the waiting rooms of E.R.s in this country. (BTW-not government run either.) What a lovely thing to do-to parody someone’s needless death to prove your uninformed political point. But what do you care-conservatives don’t care if the uninsured or under-insured keep dying-they have theirs and everyone else can just go to hell.

I have come to the reluctant conclusion, after all of this teaparty nonsense, that the conservatives of this country are simply out of their minds and there is no hope for this country if they ever gain control of it.

  18. no_more_games says:

    Big Insurance loves TeaBaggers

  19. Dan Sheehy says:

We have the most expensive, inefficient health care system in the world. Basically its geared towards maximizing profits of the middleman, i.e., insurance companies. Health care reform will fix this, and improve the lives of most Americans. You hate it now, because you don’t understand it and have irrational fears, but when it passes it will improve the lives of almost all Americans (except fat-cat health care execs)

  20. Conservative Chick says:

The LIBERAL trolls are busy, busy lately! My, could they be a bit worried at this point? WE SHALL OVERCOME! 2010 is just around the corner, so you “progressives” savor your greedy power over the masses while you still have it! I find it incredible that liberals have the nerve to call anyone else selfish! They are willing to make future generations government owned slaves just to satisfy their own immediate needs! Entitlements are about as selfish as you get. The CONSERVATIVE REVOLUTION is near, so get ready!

  21. Steve says:

Just carry on giving a means to Congress to carry on supporting the health insurance industry.

I cannot for the life of me work out why a rich insurance industry, which adds no value to anything, is such an essential part of the drive towards your freedom.

  22. Carl Marx says:

I have tried very hard to understand the viewpoint of those that have participated in ‘tea parties’ and other related functions. Honestly, would I like the government to be less involved with my life, would I like to see more of my money go to me and my family than to taxes? Probably. However, what this and other similar organizations are promoting is not necessarily freedom or more money for people. What it is promoting is a country where the government’s only job is to secure our boundaries and uphold the morality of society. Newsflash: we already tried that.
In the earlier days of our republic the government was much less involved that it is at present day. Businesses had much more freedom, the kind of freedom ‘tea parties’ advocate. What is seldom understood however is what happens in a capitalist system when this liberty is granted. We all know that capitalism is probably one of the best means of distributing goods and services, however it is one of the worst means for cost accounting. Therefore, in the capitalist system, business, usually big business, does whatever it can to make a profit. Ethics are always skewed with greed and the inevitable outcome is the externalizing of costs. These costs come in the form of all types of environmental and social burdens. This is why the government has grown to its contemporary influential size, to protect us from our own flawed economic system.
What is so ironic about the argument ‘tea parties’ and the rest of the republican party makes is that their idea of government is even more powerful and controlling than the current administration. Lets examine the last glorious 8 years of the Bush administration. Instead of taxing us for social programs, which often happened during the Clinton administration, Bush cut our taxes. Yay right? Not so fast, that tax cut, coupled with the amazing costs he incurred have given us more debt than anyone can really even fathom. In addition we also traded lax government regulation of business for strict government regulation of how we live our lives: who we can marry (gay marriage), our privacy, or the right for women to have a choice.

So the next time you donate to or attend a tea party, remember that you are not fighting for more freedom, your fighting for the corporate world and a government working to control every aspect of your life besides your wallet: They wouldn’t want to mess with your wallet because that would mess with their bottom line.
Oh yeah, about healthcare: socialize it!
    Sincerely,
    Karl Marx

  23. Appeal to Reason says:

    Good morning, everyone.

Allow me to dismantle some of the ill-informed rumors that have been circling for months regarding the proposed health care bill.

Death panels? Yea right. This is not George Orwell’s 1984. The closest we’ve come to that is the Patriot Act. That’s the first order of business. The Alaskan pitbull and her army of uneducated cronies have been spreading those rumors because, quite simply, that’s what you do when you have a weak argument: you monger fear out of desperation.

I have friends from the great island nation of Great Britain who laugh at the country that we live in. Why? Because we are the most backwards developed nation in the world, and the ONLY one that does not have a national health care system. We don’t complain when the average american family spends approximately 30 thousand dollars towards the Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns in tax money, but we can’t spend a dime towards improving the health care system. Do you not see the horrible paradox here? The far right has no problem spending large amounts of money when it means killing terrorists on the other side of the globe, but to spend money to benefit our own people? Unthinkable, it would seem to the far right.

I think it’s amusing, that the far right believes that they will be appealing to the youth of this nation, that they will be the voice of the new age, by dressing in Revolutionary War garb and prancing around like it’s 1776. I daresay that they would like to live back then, in a slavery-dependent and female-oppressed society.

The bottom line is such: if you like your health care plan, then by all means, keep it. You are NOT going to be stripped of your plan. However, if you are not satisfied with your plan, or have no plan whatsoever, the government will provide (note to those who dress in Revolutionary War garb: back in those days, they WANTED the government to provide such things. Just FYI). But, oh, the right wing doesn’t care for people who have no plan. Because most people with no health care plan are poor minorities. The right would rather send them into the desert with an M16 to die than to provide them with adequate health care.

Health care is not a priviledge, it is a right. This country needs to be taught a lesson in equality, for without equality there can be no justice. I hope that these rich business owners can all sleep happily knowing that their health is in good hands, while millions of Americans just manage to survive without any coverage at all. It’s your choice America, educate yourselves.

  24. Torn says:

We do not want to keep anybody from having health care… We want everybody to have health care… The problem is this particular “BILL” — our elected officials are doing nothing for any of us with this bill except to raise the taxes of the people that are still lucky enough to have jobs and if it keeps going like this, none of us will have jobs and thus not be paying taxes and well, you know where it goes from there… Yes, we need Health INSURANCE reform (there is nothing wrong with our CARE…), but this “BILL” our “representatives” (and i use the term loosely) are trying to ram down our throats is a BAD Bill and should not be passed!!!

    Go TEA Party!

  25. CryNforAmerica says:

    *sigh*

    THANK-YOU!!! What a great point.

Why not stand up for their rights? The answer is, because they aren’t standing up for themselves.

WHEN THOSE 500,000 CITIZENS DEVELOP A BACKBONE, GET OFF THEIR ***, STAND ON THEIR OWN TWO FEET AND FIGHT FOR THEIR RIGHTS, MAYBE SOMEONE CAN HELP THEM.

We are not responsible for the care of “everyone” any more. We can only take care of those who are willing to take care of themselves, and right now we are busy fighting for our own freedom.

    Respectfully…

  26. Pat says:

These people who think a government run HealthCare plan will be such a fantastic thing, and bad mouth the people who are trying to protect our freedom and civil liberties, are probably the same people who defraud the medicare program and expect government to always “take care of them”. I doubt they even know how to actually work and buy their own insurance. Or support themselves.

Way to go, Tea Party people!! And thank you from all of us who can’t physically help you. We are behind you in thoughts and spirit.

  27. dave says:

Support you 100%. Its time for all of us hard working
Americans to stand up to the idiots in washington. We who
Work hard and pay for our own medical insurance should not have to pay for medical care for people who refuse to work!

  28. Where's my free stuff? says:

Let’s face it - it’s going to be an uphill battle to change the culture in Washington - the land of swamps and rats. But I really wish you well. Pay no attention to those who consistently want their free stuff on other people’s dime.

It was Ben Franklin that stated, that the best way to lift people from poverty is to make them uncomfortable. Our forefathers were very smart, and had a lot of time to think about things. I came from nothing, and clawed my way to a decent living. I’m tired of my “representatives” taking my hard earned money and just giving it away to other people, other countries, and $600 hammers.

If liberals are ashamed to of the comforts other people have built for them, and want to ease their own guilt, then my advice to all you libs it to simply: work hard, amass a bunch of money, stick it in an envelope and mail it them yourself. Keep you hands off of stuff other people have earned!
