We get mail: The (second) Friday morning edition.

If you’re new to “Fresh Tea Daily”, every morning I do this round-up of all the most recent comments on state pages. Those pages are where local organizers and participants meet, share ideas and plan.

I do this post as a service to those of you who enjoy seeing all the planning, discussion and comments in one place without having to click into every single state’s coordinating page. As a clarification, I only pull out 30-40 of the most recent comments at the time I do the post, which means that hundreds of comments made in the full 24-hour-period are not included here…just the most recent ones.

Enjoy!

Since Williamsport is the county seat, and there are three bridges almost w/in sight of one another, we can throw our tea in the Susquehanna simultaneously! Rock on!

I am organizing one for the Greater Lee Country area for April 15th 5-7 pm on the Leesburg Country Court House Steps.

Contract me at msabot@msn.com if you are willing to help or attend.

Just created a Facebook page for the Roanoke Party. I’m sure ours will be added to the list soon, but here’s the link if you want to join!

There is one in Solomons this Sunday 3/22.

FRANKLIN COUNTY VIRGINIA TEA PARTY

email: franklincountyteaparty@gmail.com blog: http://franklincountyteaparty.blogspot.com/

Anyone interested in getting involved? Please contact. Is there anyone who would like to be a spokesperson to the media?

Unfortunately we will be out of the area on the 15th, however we will certainly be mailing a lot of paper copies of Tea Bags to the President and Congress, both who have abandoned us.
I would also love to see a huge
Dump Harry Reid campaign.

Does anyone know of any Tea Parties occurring in Maryland before 4/15?

In eagle county the people here pay attention to politics but are not proactive. I do not expect a tea party up here, i am so busy with work i cannot attend. I am a conservative am proud of the actions being taken. We talk about the current the situation with the dem’s and they are upset, i tell them “I TOLD YOU SO” I will keep up the talk here in Eagle County as more and more Dem’s are seing the light as the smoke is clearing and the mirrors are being broken. KEEP THE FAITH!!!!

Wow! Something is going on in Maine? We have to do more here. Can people start posting flyers all over to help get the word out? The more, the better…we need to stand up here, before we become a complete communist state and country. We need jobs, not more taxes and government handouts. Everyone in my family has either been laid off, hours cut, and my brother actually had his hourly wage cut.

We don’t need more government jobs! Before you know it, if they keep this crap up, we will all be employed by none other than the government…:( I’m tired of it all…Maine people stand up and wake up! Spread the word!

For those interested in starting a Tea Party in Toledo/NW Ohio, I will have Eric Odom (Don’t Go Movement) as my guest on NewsTalk 1370 WSPD at 3:30 on Monday. He’ll give advice and encouragement to individuals thinking about organizing a tea party in the Toledo area.

If you’ve begun organizing a Toledo Tea Party, please email me at maggie@wspd.com

Thank’s to Chris, (who posted on March 18 @ 6:52am)for calling attention to the most important issues. That is one big order, but if enough people are determined to make it happen, I believe it can. It won’t be easy -BACK to a “Constitutional Government”. and. . . The “apathetic, uneducated on the issues masses” ( Pam (Cookeville, TN)

Andrew,
The New Haven event is still being ironed out. You can check at our other site here:

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=60002567693

Look to the right under events and you’ll see that New Haven is still TBA. Check back often.

Keep us updated we want to spread the word.

http://www.strongerthandeath.net

My wife and I will most definintely be attending in KC.
To those who are asking about a Springfield event I would say just start one.
You all are citizens too. Use your First Amendment Right and set one up. I would set it up somewhere prominent and then post it here. Im sure more than enough people will be there to support you.
May God Bless You All

Wow! This is awesome seeing so many people wanting to get involved! Is there anything planned for Grand Rapids? If not, my Mom and I are joining you all in Lansing. (Any GR folks interessted in a caravan?)

Everyone, Left my computer yesterday with 24 messages on the board, and come in today with a board on fire with 34 message. See what you get when you go to sleep.

I would like more information on just where the April 15th tea party in New haven, plus time of day.

Hey: We are ready…. We are looking forward to a teaparty in Beautiful, St. George, UT E-mail us.

Anything happening in the Northern Shenandoah Valley? Winchester? Old Courthouse on the Loudoun Street Mall?

Wonder if the original tea party protesters worried about the legality of their actions? In fact the whole revolution thing was probably illegal! I’m not advocating anything crazy just an observation. How the mighty have fallen! I think these tea parties are a great idea to focus attention on our angst and outrage with government.

I’d love to go to the one here in St. Louis, but unfortunately, I have to be at work at that time. :(

Nicely done! I like your ideas. Great list to start with and once accomplished we can move on to other items. I’ll see you on the 15th!

Calling all ladies in the Louisville area who are conservative and listen to Talk Radio! Saturday Morning In America/Louisville Chapter is looking for more like minded women to engage in grass roots political efforts. We meet once/month. Will meet (tomorrow) March 21 @ 9AM, Jersey Mikes, Stonybrook Shopping Ctr off Taylorsville Rd. Contact me smia@kentucky.usa.com for more information.

Hey, everyone…..we now have events scheduled in Richmond, Charlottesville, Virginia Beach, Hampton, Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Abingdon!!

It takes awhile for the national pages to get updated, so if you need info on an event that’s not listed here, shoot me an email.

Also, our Richmond group will be on WRVA radion today between 3-6 pm. Good work!!

I will attend the Baton Rouge Tea party on April 15th. I have started a blog and I have several others who are joining the crowd. These demonstrations need to be as huge as we can make them. Big thanks out to the people who are getting these events going.

i’m still a little confused by all the info –what’s the final answer? will there be a teaparty in Dover, or just one in Laurel? thanks for all the organizing –we are definitely intereted to know that “we surround them”!

Mike!! What a fantastic idea! I love it. How do I go about getting more information about this? I think we should definitely do this in Connecticut. I’m going to add a post in my forum under events right now. Please, any help would be appreciated.

I sent invites to Shannon Erickson (SC House Rep), Tom Davis (SC Senate), Jim DeMint (US Senate). Please send emails encouraging your specific state reps and senators to attend in support of the movement.

Hi everyone. I’m a resident of this blue state we call Connecticut and I’m trying to gather everyone so we can be a unified, strong voice. Please check out the forum I built just for Connecticut residents at http://www.WeSurroundThemConnecticut.ownforum.org . I have petitions there as well as various events around the state that I’ve heard about. Plus lots more.

Thanks for organizing a tea party in KC. I WILL definitely be there!

BK, We are suppose to go on a one day ‘American Collar Strike’ on Tea Party Day!

The more that can get to Lansing, the better. We need thousands if not 10’s of thousands. It is wake America Time!!!

A good suggestion I head about, regarding mailing of tea bags, was to mail the string and tab only. This would be less likely to receive as much scrutiny but send the same message in a powerful way.

There IS a SWGA Tea Party now in the works.

Leesburg Courthouse
5p-7p

Check out http://swgapolitics.wordpress.com for all the latest details as I get them.

Note that I’m not the one actually organizing it, but I am organizing a SWGA chapter of the Libertarian Party, and I am working with the guy that is organizing the Tea Party to help him get the word out.

Feel free to email me with any questions. My email is on the SWGA Politics post. (It will remain at the top of the page for the next month.)

I live in Columbus so is someone making one there? Or are yall talking about there sould be one?

Gayle, we are having on in Farmington from noon till 5pm. You can email me (Melissa) at
farmington.tea.party@hotmail.com

I think if you want to organize one, pick a place at noon in Fort Collins for everyone to gather and send it to this site. If you don’t want to spend time answering emails, set up an email account specifically for this and then when people email you with questions and suggestions, ask them to be in charge of the email account and give them the password for it. That would be a good way to get started.

I will attend if something is announced in Springfield, MO.

I for one am going to stand. I also agree with Swell. The times should be extended. I know of some people who would like to attend in other states, but because they cannot get out of work would not be able to go. Maybe pushing back the time a little bit, and extending the time till past 6 or so would help the numbers. Great idea with getting local media involved bc we all know the national is not going to touch it. I encourage you all to write an editorial to your local as well saying how fed up you are and that you will be showing your displeasure at the Tea Party, April 15….

Bring your tea bags and will have a canister to put them in, since the EPA is against polluting our water sources with tea.

But we can bundle up the teabags and take them to Cochran’s office. Since he is a big spender of unneccessary pork, these days.

For those calling in to Philbin
there are now 2 Tea Parties in Vermont, Rutland & Montpelier
and 200+ cities across the US are having Tax Day Revolts
The momentum is still growing,
“we hired ‘em, we can fire ‘em”
Tax and spenders beware!

The PROTEST is ON! April 15th, southside of the Capital Bldg. 4 pm - 6pm in Downtown Jackson. We are setting up around 3pm, then we’ll have speakers including the Lt. Gov., Kim Wade, Senator Chris McDaniel and a few others. We need everyone that can, to come to Jackson for the protest!

We also need to start thinking about getting carpools or some sort of share rides together.

This is going to be HUGE!!! We need your voices!!! Thus far 146 Tea Party Protest will be going on in the Country, that day! So tell your family and friends, and bring the kids…it’s never too early for them to start practicing their 1st Amendment right to peacefully assemble!

More information to follow as it comes available.

PLEASE someone let us know if there is a tea party planned in the Milwaukee area!

My wife, Cathy, and I are from Beaufort also and will be attending the Columbia Tea Party. We Beaufortonians need to convince our friends and neighbors to get involved and go to this historical event. I am advertising the event on bulletin boards throughout Beaufort County. Any chance you could write a Beaufort Gazette letter to the editor advertising the event? I can’t because they recently published one of my letters and I have to wait 30 days before they publish another.

Christi, i am willing help from home in Greenwood … willing to place an ad in The Guide to locate interested persons to join in.

Wait. Even better! I will actually be in Honolulu on April 15th! Can’t get any better than that! I’m from Niagara Falls, N.Y. What a way to connect. Eric

I plan on being at the Rochester Tea Party. Great job of getting it together. This is going to be interesting. Thanks again.

Cat is right. We have to bring up other issues that are not carried over the mainstream media so that the seeds of doubt about this administration and other major problems facing our nation will be planted in the minds of passers-by. I myself want to get the drumbeat of term limits sounded. Lifers in the military not in our congress. Term limits now!

Anyone want to help organize a tea party in the Ventura Co. area (preferably Ventura/Camarillo), or even Santa Barbara? I don’t know if one is already being planned, but, if not, I’m ready to get one going.

hey Paducah people! let me know something, and i will help if i can! hit me up on twitter (@christinajade) or my blog.

There is a meeting happening in Meridian and one in Greenwood. If you want to check and see the MS sites you should go to teapartyday.com. If you are hosting one you should also go there to post it.

Pat A, I like the way you think! Get someone to make up bumper stickers, T shirts and truckers caps with that slogan on them. I am definitely for term limits. One 6 year term for President, 3 four year terms for Senator, 4 two year terms for Representative. Max! We might let you come back but only after you have been gone the equivalent of at least one of your terms, and you have to prove that you spent the ensuing time in the privet sector, living under the laws you past! Let’s do this!
