Kudos to Sharon for starting the ball rolling in Roanoke. We will be having a tea party! I’ll be going with a “I didn’t take the bait” (Obama’s campaign promises) theme, and will be tossing “bait”, aka worms, into the Roanoke River, feeding the fish without government assistance I’m sure Sharon will be posting all the details when everything is locked up. Jump aboard Roanoke and SWVA!

Count me in, too. And I’m bringing the kids, and anyone else that happens to be in reach. Deborah, I live in Newfields - you’re not completely alone down here! Also Todd - I like your reference to Exeter as the Revolutionary capital. Maybe we could get a gathering going on Swayze Parkway?

We need to get up to critical mass with this one and see thousands on the streets. All of us know this country is way off course, though we cannot and will not agree on everything, I think we can agree that we are losing the Republic before our eyes. It is time to stand up and raise our voices not as Republican or Democrats- but as the America people, joined together under the common cause of liberty and freedom. Hope to see all of you there.

Also to let Western WA folks know, there is a protest at the Clark County Courthouse on Saturday, April 18 from 11AM to 1PM. I think this is for all the folks who will be working on the 15th (to pay their taxes!). See you there, and at the Olympia site on the 15th. Well I just emailed everyone on my list with the times and places and links. My bride and I will be in Washington state during this time but plan to attend the one is Seattle 15th and Vancouver on the 18th.

I would be interested in joining something on the coast. Gulfport, Biloxi, Ocean Springs.

Each city needs one. Where in Anchorage? I’ll be there.

On April 15th. We have the date. Must use the same date to contribute to the impact.

I agree with everything you said. It’s nice to hear I’m not the only one screaming at the TV and calling all these people in Washington criminals. They must all go and we the people must act NOW!

I found this idea at Facebook, I think it’s great: “To get our disdain to the right people where it will get the publicity needed, we should focus our attention on the culprits (Barney Franks and Christopher Dodd) of this debacle. We should send the Tea Bags to the media outlet where these idiots are from.

Looking for an event in Loveland/Ft Collins - anyone planning?

Maybe car pools could be formed in various areas for those who have or could get the day off. If you’re blessed to have a job or just can’t make it perhaps you’d be willing to send a little prayer our way at noon on Apr 15th. God Bless.

It is my hope that even if there is not a Tea Party near you that you would be willing to make the trip to. Skip a couple of Starbucks or hold off on pizza night. Use the dough for gas money and let the Fat Cats take notice us. The only way to stop feeling helpless is to stop being helpless. We have a real chance to be heard. A chance to be notice. A chance to stand up and be counted. But only if you show up. It’s your life our childrens future. I believe it’s worth the sacrifice and inconvience to drive to another town to be heard to be noticed to be counted and to stop feeling helpless. Enough is enough.

My wife, Cathy, and I will be joining you in Columbia on the 15th. Let’s put on a show the socialist liberals won’t forget. We are as made as hell, and we’re not going to take it anymore!!!

My last post brings me to another point. We should try to coordinate our rallies with those from organizations like Fairtax.org and other groups who want to change the tax code. We could create a much bigger group and show of force. Here is a forum for Fairtax “http://fairtaxnation.ning.com/forum” I suggest we try to make some connections and really make a statement. (You don’t necessarily need to support the fairtax, but we do have a common goal and should harness that power.)

I’m looking for a tea party to join in the Columbus area.

I’d like to see something in Albany if there is enough support. I would be willing to do whatever necessary but don’t know many people here. I moved back to Albany after spending 27 years in New Orleans (Katrina related). I’ll check back to see if there are any takers and talk to a couple of people I know, and decide if we have enough support here. There are still ALOT of people waiting for Obama to give them their house, car and other people’s money, so I’m putting out a feeler for others who think like me.

Anything going on in the Southern Utah area? St. George, Cedar City, Springdale?

Hey folks, I am driving from the FAR EAST of Michigan to the Lansing event…if you’d like to carpool or at least caravan style drive that morning post and we’ll coordinate. I am between Port Huron and Detroit so can take I-69 or 696 depending on what people may need.

It’s about 90 minutes or so.

We definitly need one here in Klamath Falls. One of the main problems is that this is a very computer illiterate place.

They have run Kfalls like this is their very own private country for to long. Governmental corruption in this state is epidemic with no end in sight of the fees, taxes, permits and licenses. The one world government must be stopped now. With bills like HR-45 (gun ban) s-22 and HR 875 along with all the other thousands of hidden laws that nobody ever reads before they vote on it…who needs enemies?
Klamath Falls needs to be woken up and as mad as the farmers and ranchers are right now maybe this would do the trick.

I am in the process of organizing a Tax Tea Party in Astoria, OR. Seaside, Cannon Beach, Tillamook, all are welcome.Pass the word around!!! Washington people are welcome, also…(Long Beach, Ilwaco, or others.) athe location and time is TBA.

Looking for something in the East Bay (Northern Ca.).

I’m good for bringing at least 8 more people on April 11th. If I may make a suggestion, the bastion of revolution was historically in Exeter, NH. Let’s organize this right and make our forefathers proud! Does anyone know someone who could haul a boat down that we could dump a few barrels of tea out of? Would make for a nice centerpiece to the party. We can label the barrels “politician’s pork,” “that same old brew” and even “Barney and Chris’ dirty laundry” in honor of guys like Frank and Dodd who seem to think they have the moral authority to preside over this whole financial mess.

Will attend in April with everyone I can round up. I reside in Harford county and anyone needing a ride just let me know.

My Mom will be there. She was dissapointed to note there had already been one tea party that evidently was not well publicized…I’m sure she would have been there as well as many other conservative thinking people…

   Hey everyone! Gearing up for the protest on Saturday here in Lexington, KY. Does anyone know where there are some graphics files to print out for posters? (I like the home-made ones too, but sometimes it’s nice to look a little more like a cohesive group.)
