Portsmouth Tea Company Donates Tea to the Revolution!

The modern (2009) Tea Party Revolution was set in motion when Rick Santelli went on a delicious rant about how those “carrying the water” are supporting those who only drink it. Also known as… Socialism.

The point made was that Government, in it’s current form and the expanded form that potentially lies ahead, is waging all out war against the free-market system. This is causing much heartache to American businesses, both small and large.

Now more than ever, we believe it’s extremely important that business owners step up to the plate and make their voices heard. Which is exactly what the Portsmouth Tea Company is doing in light of the current Tea Party Revolution.

The Portsmouth Tea Company, located in Somersworth NH, is in contact with us and is planning on donating 70 pounds of tea to the cause. We’ll be using this tea in some way on April 15th, so stay tuned for updates on ideas we’re putting together.

We also hear that the company is working on “possibly” donating the actual type of tea that was thrown over board during the Boston Tea Party. More on this as it develops.

But in the meantime, please show the good folks over at Portsmouth Tea Company exactly how we feel about their patriotic involvement in the Tea Party Revolution.

A great way to show appreciation would be a vote of approval through the dollar. You can start by checking out the Portsmouth Tea Company teas right here.

Also, don’t forget to stay plugged in over at the Tax Day Tea Party site. And make sure you visit Michelle Malkin, TCOT and SGP… letting them know we appreciate the co-sponsorship and assistance they’ve each provided.

It burns me up that we will be paying for neighbors’ houses with home theatres and deluxe backyard landscaping because they are over-extended and now have a home they can’t afford!
When the Air Force transferred us back from Germany to New Jersey in 2005, we had a week to buy a house and had very few affordable options. With an overseas move date scheduled and the start of school for our daughters, we had no choice but to buy when the market was at it’s peak.
Now, houses in our neigborhood are not selling well even at reduced rates. We are definitely “upside down” with our mortgage.
We planned carefully and can make our mortgage payments. Why should we also pay for those who didn’t plan??? My husband has served his country during the Gulf War, Afganistan and Iraq. That was an acceptable sacrifice…..THIS is not!

    Jennifer,
the sense of entitlement in this country has been ok’d to replace hard work and ethics by this pres and this liberal senate. It is horibble.

Thanks for doing this. We picked up the Chai sampler from Portsmouth Tea Company to show support for CAPITALISM. Good on them.

It’s recently come to may attention that only certain people are foolish enough to actually pay their taxes. I should have donated a bunch of money to a certain political party and tried to get a Cabinet or Undersecretary position. My bad.

My property taxes doubled this year as property values in my area dropped 15-20%. It’s not just Federal taxes I’m protesting. Looking forward to the Tea Parties in April.

Free market system?!? What free market system?!?

Do you mean the de-regulated, hedge-fund ponzi-scheme that is Wall St?

Do you mean the total lack of regulation that allowed greed to trump and crash the global economy?

The free market is an illusion.

Billy-Bob, I agree with you that we have to squeeze the greed out of politics. That’s why I oppose the bailout.
