One of the first emails I read this morning was also one of the most devastating emails I’ve read all year. The email came in from RedState.com, and explained a situation brewing in the Senate over Healthcare.
Essentially, from what I read, Harry Reid and his band of Senate thugs have written into their Healthcare legislation a section that could not be a more blatant violation of their oath to uphold and protect the Constitution.
If ever the people of the United States rise up and fight over passage of Obamacare, Harry Reid must be remembered as the man who sacrificed the dignity of his office for a few pieces of silver. The rules of fair play that have kept the basic integrity of the Republic alive have died with Harry Reid. Reid has slipped in a provision into the health care legislation prohibiting future Congresses from changing any regulations imposed on Americans by the Independent Medicare [note: originally referred to as "medical"] Advisory Boards, which are commonly called the “Death Panels.”
It was Reid leading the Democrats who ignored 200 years of Senate precedents to rule that Senator Sanders could withdraw his amendment while it was being read.
It was Reid leading the Democrats who has determined again and again over the past few days that hundreds of years of accumulated Senate parliamentary rulings have no bearing on the health care vote.
On December 21, 2009, however, Harry Reid sold out the Republic in toto.
Upon examination of Senator Harry Reid’s amendment to the health care legislation, Senators discovered section 3403. That section changes the rules of the United States Senate.
To change the rules of the United States Senate, there must be sixty-seven votes.
Section 3403 of Senator Harry Reid’s amendment requires that “it shall not be in order in the Senate or the House of Representatives to consider any bill, resolution, amendment, or conference report that would repeal or otherwise change this subsection.”
Are you getting the full effect here? Do you understand the implications of this maneuver?
These thugs are not just working to pass legislation that Americans don’t want, they’re actively seeking to include unconstitutional language that would essentially bar future lawmakers from being able to change it!
At this point… I don’t think it could be more clear.
Our government has violated its oath to uphold the Constitution. In essence, this government is now rogue and operating outside of the constraints of the laws that govern our land.
This is dangerous. And it comes at a time when we as a people are hurting… which makes it all the more evil and malicious.
I hate to have to send you this just days before Christmas, but I believe we as a nation are in trouble. And I think it’s our duty to respond.

UPDATE 2: In case you’re wondering why I’ve been saying that Senate Dems need to be our primary target before we start waging political war on the entire government establishment… (which is certainly needed) this would be my answer.
It took hundreds of millions of dollars in bribe money to win over Sens. Mary Landrieu, of Louisiana, Ben Nelson, of Nebraska, and Bernie Sanders, of Vermont, (plus even more millions for a senator whose identity cannot be determined thanks to the obtuse language of the bill). By hook or by crook, Obamacare’s Senate backers got their magic 60 votes. Now Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, of Nevada, his 57 Democratic colleagues; and both Senate independents own Obamacare. Their votes moved Obamacare past its biggest legislative hurdle yet in a tally taken in the dead of a very cold Sunday night on a massive bill none of them actually read in its entirety.
These 60 senators have joined in what surely ranks among the most breathtakingly arrogant spasms of anti-democratic hubris in American legislative history. By every credible measure of public opinion, opposition to Obamacare has grown for months as people learned more about it. Fully 61 percent of those responding to CNN’s most recent survey turned thumbs down on Obamacare. And still these 60 senators opted to thumb their noses at the majority.
Those of us who have directly experienced communist totalitarian dictatorships are not surprised by this. We saw it coming. This is a methodical process to destroy our liberties. You can expect this sort of thing to increase in frequency. If we have elections again, we must vote these thugs out. Everyone needs to get involved.
One more thought to add to all of the above excellent comments: we must remember that leftists-Maoists do not stop when they achieve a strategic victory: they keep moving on (moveon.org) until they either achieve all their goals or they are overthrown.
If a 60-40 Senate vote on so-called health care can be achieved through bribery and deceit, why cannot the same bunch of criminals pass legislation outlawing the Tea Party - or the Republican Party? If that works, then why not proclaim Dear Leader as president-for-life?
We are that close to being Zimbabwe. It is scary and I never thought it would come to this, but all men and women must rally to the cause of freedom, or sit at their state-controlled hi-def televisions and watch us become Zimbabwe. Hi everyone: I’m on Christmas vacation here for a few days. Yesterday & today I’ve been listening to Glenn Beck & Rush. Callers have been mentioning states a bilities to recall there representatives. We should all research our states laws & for those states who can should recall there representatives on grounds as previously mentioned here that based on unconstitutional language in legislation that they do not legitimately hold the current ofices they are in. I am going to try to get to our Tea Parties New-Years Eave Party to state that the next rally needs to be a consitution one. This amendment is specific to the Social Security Act it sets up an independent Medicare Advisory Board to reduce overall Medicare spending.
The section that is excerpted does not give all the info and in the next part it specificall says that a 3/5 vote NOT 2/3 vote, a fractional supermajority specific, to the subsection of board recommendations.
Not that this isn’t still bad, because it is and “I’m mad as hell” but I just wanted to put it in context so everyone knows what they are taling about when they speak about this.

It is time for a simple constitutional amendment. One so simple any first grader can understand it. The provisions of the amendment should be 3 items:
1. require a balanced budget
2. limit total federal government spending to 15% of GDP
3. Not allow unfunded mandates to the states
We have the core to launch this effort. It will catch on like wild fire. Twitter, You Tube, Facebook and the Internet for a communication backbone.
Let’s go for it. I think the majority will be for it. Congress will never agree unless “we the people” make it happen.
Why 15% of GDP? Because that will make the cost of manufacturing low wnough to regain our stature as a worldwide leader in manufacturing.
Today the cost of government passes through every pay check in the portion of the income that flows through to pay the direct and hidden taxes.
I estimate that $8,000 of every $20,000 automobile flows through to the government at various levels. No wonder the US cannot compete against Korea and China.

I have mentioned to Eric in the past as well as many people that we must press our state governments to pass strong 10th Amendment Affirmations.
Then, we must swiftly move foward toward the goal of Nullification. If any of you do not know what that is, do good research. Read The Kentucky Resolution of 1778 and 1779 as well was the Virginia Resolution.
Article IV of the U.S. Constitution provides a way for We the People to Amend the U.S. Constitution. We can do this by calling for a Constitutional Convention. 2/3rds of the States must do this and representatives of these states (I suppose somehow they will be chosen) to write amendments to the U.S. Constitution that will rescind the 16th Amendment (it is debatable whether or not this legally was passed to begin with but this is the Income Tax Amendment) as well as the 17th Amendment (changing from sending one representative from each of the several state’s statehouses to Washington D.C.; making up the Congressional Body to 2 Senators and representatives from each districts which are drawn from a formula within in each district). I propose changing those amendments because the money with which bribes are being paid, states are being threatened actually BELONGS TO US. We want to change the Income Tax structure to support what the restricted power of the federal government has under the Constitution and mainly, that is the Dept. of Defense. Changing the 17th Amendment will give us a stronghold over the federal government by sending 50 to Congress instead of 564 or whatever the number is now. If we do not do this, look for even MORE to go to Congress. This is unmanageable and as we have seen, more opportunity for corruption.
The pendulum swings both ways folks. We can enforce our will upon the federal government through out states. That is how the U.S. Constitution was meant to work. We do not work for it, it works for us. The Constitution is not a “live” document. It was not meant to be “interpreted” but to be followed to preserve our Repbulic.
The fight our our country is notched up. Are you ready to do what it takes to hold it? Or are we going to keep protesting and being ignored?

The US Constitution was created as a document that puts limits on federal government power. Period! It does not grant rights to the people. It codifies the existing rights of the people and the various states Anything that oversteps this fundamental fact is on its face unconstitutional.
Any elected official who disobeys their sworn oath of office to defend and protect the Constitution is holding office illegitimately. Just because they still retain their seats does not mean that they are holding that office legitimately. Since many of their fellow lawmakers are committing the same unconstitutional acts, and those same lawmakers are the ones responsible for ousting the officeholders whose actions are illegitimate then what we have is anarchy. Government by fiat by officeholders who have by their very actions forfeited their privilege to hold office.
Let’s take a page from the Left’s method of behavior and refuse to obey these unconstitutional dictates. Let’s petition the courts to put an immediate injunction on these illegal and unconstitutional legislative acts of malfeasance.
Furthermore, the existing laws in place concerning illegal aliens (the law of the land) are not being enforced and therefore immediately disqualify any and all officeholders and appointed officials who are actively ignoring such enforcement. These people also have forfeited their privileges to retain office. Selective enforcement of laws is unconstitutional and in defiance of equal protection clauses.

Everyone PRESUMES that what Congress and their States’ Legislatures are doing is un-Constitutional without allowing for the TWO PROVISIONS defining where and how Congress’ powers (and those of the States, when they act to enforce Congressional district statute) are, in fact, dictatorial.
Article I, Sec. 8 and Art IV, Sec. 3, cl. 2, delineate powers that CAN NOT BE CHALLENGED!
What the federal branch has done, is to cajole all the States and 99.9% of The People to stipulate domicil in federal jurisdiction and to conduct their affairs as fictitious entities created by government. This is all done by mere sleight of language construction and proprietary numeration of the federal body.
ONLY natural human inhabitants who exist in the original, ordinary jurisdictions of their States are addressed in the Law, as imbued with the God given natural Rights and Immunities that government is Constitutionally prohibited from abridging. When, however, they ignorantly accept the personification of an imaginary entity ‘corporated’ by government, they abandon those Rights and Immunities. By accepting numerical designation of their domicil, as stipulating situation in statutory business zones of federal districts, they abandon the protective jurisdictions of their States. These acceptances constitute WILLING ENSLAVEMENT and abandonment of sovereign prerogative.
This isn’t obscure semantic nit-picking, Friends! It’s LEGAL CONSTRUCTION that Judges and Justices are BEHOLDEN to recognize in their adjudications, however much it may APPEAR to be un-Constitutional.
Before we can completely free our Country, we need to learn about freeing ourselves.
If it is “unconstitutional” to do what Reid is doing, then he is BREAKING THE LAW that he swore to uphold.
If our elected officials break the law, then the United States must do what Honduras did when it’s president would not obey their constitution.
Is it not OBVIOUS by now that this group of people ruling over us DO NOT CARE what we think and will do whatever they want. They are not afraid of ANY threats.

The trapdoor exists. Obama IS NOT a naturally born citizen - even if he can come up with a valid birth certificate from a state, which I doubt. His father was Kenyan, thus he fails to meet the obligation. Anything this Marxist signs is null and void when this is proven! This is the area we need to be pursuing to out highest abilities!
I do not know who or how trips to Washington D.C. are organized but I think right after congress comes back from their holiday time off, they should be met by the biggest Tea Party ever organized. Not a few thousand, not 100,000, not a million. I mean huge! 5,000,000 people. I know people work. I know a lot of us have been to D.C. several times, but we need to storm Washington the likes of which that city has never seen! If someone knows the people to contact to start this please do so. This is the most important time our generation has ever lived through. I agree with Carol Neal. We can’t wait until April 2010, or elections in 2010/2012. We need to do something now. We need to take action. We need to show the president and congress that we can hurt them if they don’t listen. I don’t mean physically but maybe monetarily. Why can’t we not work for a day, the whole country would stop for a day? Don’t go to work, don’t send your kids to school. Don’t drive anywhere. Just stay home. Only jobs like fire department, police, medical should go to work that day. It would be one day without income and taxes paid to the govt. One day that people aren’t spending or buying. I don’t know if this would work but we need to take some kind of ACTION. Writing letters and showing up to protest isn’t working. We the taxpayers need to shut down the country for a day. Maybe then we will be taken seriously.

The republicans have to stand up for the constitution. This is their defining moment. The need to look beyond this bill and see the greater picture of what is really going on here. These Democratic leaders are spitting on and then wiping their feet with the founding principles of this country.
I have read through all the comments left above very carefully and it is very clear to me that we are all saddened and many of us are angry at the TREASON and the BETRAYAL set before us. Every time I receive an email from the Tea Party I see George Washington standing up in that small boat as they crossed the river, he is used as a source of inspiration for us. I think all of us have had our eyes opened to the tyranny we are now under just like the early Americans.
I ask you all a very solemn question, what would George Washington say if he were alive in our day and time? I think the answer is very obvious because those brave men who fought for our freedoms were never subjected to the tyranny that we live under right now. I know we do not wish upon ourselves any form of violence but I suspect that George Washington never wished it either. This is our moment of decision when we must ask ourselves what we are really made of. Do we posses the same level of bravery and honor as did our forefathers, or are we simply a group of angry right-wingers who will just try the political system in hopes that somehow it might work for us? If the letter writing doesn’t work, if calling your Senator doesn’t work, if going to the ballot box doesn’t work, are you going to just lay down and take this and watch your freedom pass away because you are afraid of violence?
What did our brave soldiers do when it was time to get rid of the Nazis? What did our brave soldiers do when it was time to defend America against terrorism?
What would George Washington be doing right now if he were alive? That answer is obvious to me, he would be assembling an army of patriots to remove our government from its place and restore Congress with those who will actually uphold their Oath. We must all think long and hard about what is going on and ask ourselves the tough questions just like the founders did.
I already have, I am waiting for someone with the spirit of George Washington to take the lead. I believe we approaching that pivotal moment in history, where will you stand?

Patriots, lets not take our eyes off of the real problem facing this country. The illegal tactics used by the current party are not the only time these tactics have been used. The republicans in 2003 used the very same tactics to pass the Medicare prescription drug legislation when they were in power. The real problem with this country is the career politicians who have been in Washington for decades. We must vote out all current House representatives, regardless of affiliation, and any Senators who are currently up for reelection. We then must impose term limits on at least our House Reps.
