Join us for a special tele-townhall meeting
Congress, with the passing of “Cap & Trade”, has openly declared war against the will and needs of the American people. I mean, who in their right mind believes we should be DOUBLING our electricity and gas bills in this economy?
Apparently our “representatives” do.
It’s as if our “representatives” are actually being malicious towards our country. Why else would they vote and pass legislation that can and will directly cast significant long term damage on our economy?
We at the American Liberty Alliance are ready, willing and able to confront this beast. But we understand it’s going to require a strong, unified effort that reaches across a diverse range of free-market American activists.
We want to invite you to a special hour long tele-townhall scheduled for Wednesday, July 1st, at 8:00 PM Eastern Time. To receive the credentials for the special call, you’ll need to register as a member of the American Liberty Alliance.
You can register here.

The liberty movement is under attack from all directions. We do not need to be scattered. We do not need to be working against each other. Instead, we need to collaborate on a scale never before seen.
The time is now. Join us and let’s get to work.

TaxDayTeaParty.com & American Liberty Alliance
I think the TEA parties are great but, if we want the government to really take notice and to be forced into reform then we must take action. If all of the concerned citizens would file an exempt tax status on the final week of September, then the government would (in my opinion) really take notice. By the end of the 3rd quarter most everyone has paid enough federal and state income tax for the year. We would not be getting anything back but we would owe little or get a little back. Businesses would not pay the quarterly income tax bill in January of 2010 because they have not collected any. The social security and Medicare taxes would be collected and we would have leverage to make sure these were applied to the proper places.
We would hit them where they are most vulnerable in their greedy pockets and it is legal. In order for the people of this country to take back this country from an oppressive government; then we have to take action. We can force the fair tax reform; we can fight for term limits to stop the Washington cronyism. Gathering together to protest is a start but we must unite to get reform.
Hello,
I read most of your comments and comments all over the web about the government of the United States. What I want to know is when your
fore fathers said enough to the tax on tea and gave their lives, what did they give their lives for?
No one wants war, alot of innocent people die in war, men women and children who want nothign more than to lvie their lives just like us, but what do you do when you have nothing left for the tax mongers to take? what then will you do? what lengths will you go to to feed your families?
Think long and hard my friends, these taxes will not stop and if they were co0ntrolable with “peaceful negotiations” then why did eve have the boston tea party to start with? I know where I will be, on the side that feeds teh hungry, where will you stand?
Sending messages to my state’s members of Congress is a waste of time. I get: “Thank You for your views are very important to me.” The standard electronically produced “gobbledy gook” response. They must be too busy writing new laws, creating new loops/hoops for them to hide in and us to jump through, to have time to respond to their constitutents. WAIT — they don’t even have time to read the new chaos they creating and voting on.
I think I’ll just keep sending notes of displeasure.
I agree — if this bill passes in the Senate - then what –?? What can we do ?? I went to a tea party down in Charleston, South Carolina on July 4th during my vacation. It touched my heart so much of all the people there and then to see in some papers –lower turnout!! SO WHAT?? All I know that it was packed and we all love America so much that you just want to cry .
Bills are being passed so quickly and we can do nothing about it !! I feel like damage is already done but if Cap and Trade is passed and the Health care bill is passed — WE ARE DOOMED.
If we wait for the [4] years to be up especially for this president - who knows what other damage will be done - he does not love America or the people — it is just him/Socialism/and his cronies.
I am ready to go on more tea parties but we have to do more — I am there !!!
Check out Congressional salaries, pensions, and non-contribution to Social Security. Is there anyone out there who wants to really mess up the lives of Americans and be so well paid for it?
The “Cap and Trade” bill passage should convince people that the government is their enemy.
The lack of protection of our territory from illegal immigration - an issue that 80 percent of the people agree on - is proof that the government is out of our control and against our interests.
Hello,
Below you will find a letter that I have sent to my representatives in Washington.
Thursday, July 2, 2009
Dear Sir,
I can’t even begin to tell you how upset I am as an American Citizen. I was born and raised in this country. A country that I love dearly. I am a 49 year old man who has been happily married for 26 years. I have worked for everything that I have and I have done so while raising five children. I am not particularly religious, although I believe in God. In my life, I did not expect, nor have I received government hand-outs, with the exception of grant money for college when I was a young man. I also took out student loans to go to college and paid back every cent. I have at times carried a small amount of debt, but I have always paid it back. I have provided a home and food to eat for my family. In short, I live simply - by choice and make no mistake there are a lot of people just like me in the United States of America. Now that you understand that I am not some wild-eyed extremist, please know that us ordinary Americans have been watching what is going on in our country right now and we are disillusioned and very soon we will stop watching and begin to take action.
I have never written to my legislator - quite frankly because, I never thought it was necessary before, but now I am disheartened and embarrassed for my country, with all that I see going on around me. I am losing faith in my elected officials, but I would sincerely like to give you the opportunity to restore my faith in the honor of government service. I am certain that I am not the only one who feels this way. The last 24 months of this country’s history has been like watching a slow motion train wreck, with all the bells and whistles going off, but no one paying attention to them. We have had a cast of characters in Washington over the years that thinks you can just throw money at the problem and it will all go away. As an American, I have many questions and I have not heard any good and reasonable answers. Please tell me, where were all the well paid Senators and House Representatives who were supposed to be keeping their eye on the ball? Perhaps they were attending a party thrown by a lobbyist? Were they planning their fundraising galas for their next election and accepting money from some corporate giant in return for special treatment? Why haven’t people like Congressman Ron Paul and Stockbroker Peter Schiff, who have known this was coming for a long time, been taken seriously by those in power? Why are Mr. Paul and Mr. Schiff seen as buffoons and fear-mongers by the elite in Washington? Could it be because they are telling us the truth? Why is Tim Geithner, our Treasury Secretary when he forgot to pay his taxes? Why is Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House when she has been caught in several lies? Why is Barney Frank still making key decisions affecting our nation’s finances as Chairman of the Financial Services Committee when he clearly missed the boat on this whole financial mess? Why are major pieces of legislation being passed by Congress and yet our nation’s leaders openly admit that they have not even read them? And lastly, where did all that bail-out money really go?
My disdain for both parties is bi-partisan. I no longer feel that being a Republican or a Democrat offers us much in the way of hope. President Obama and his administration declared a new beginning of transparency and change in government, but they seem to be nothing more than a continuation of the Bush years, the Clinton years and the first Bush years before that. There are many, many ordinary people just like me who now feel the same way and yet the game of division continues and no one in government seems to get the idea that we - the people don’t care about the game any longer and we are getting mad. Actually, furious might be a better word. Apparently, you don’t think we care and that we will remain apathetic, but the time is approaching when good people will rise up and throw the professional politicians out of office and into the unemployment line and then we will take your place. We are not interested in power - we are only interested in providing a future for our children, something our current politicians have apparently lost sight of. Tough decisions will need to be made by people that understand that when you have no money, you can’t spend any money. Decisions that have nothing to do with our next election and decisions that are based upon what is right for the future of our country and our children. Simple ordinary Americans understand that our nations leaders have been selling us down the river for years now and we are tired of all the double speak and sound bytes. We want you to fix the problem through sound management, not by spinning a web of fancy sounding lies. You apparently must think of us like cattle, but we are not. We have just been too busy in our lives, but now we are paying close attention to what you folks in Washington are doing and we don’t like what we see.
We are not asking for power, but we know that in order to right the wrongs that have been committed in our name, we will need to wrest back control of our government from the professional politicians and return it to the people. Government was not meant to infringe upon our lives in every imaginable way. This is what we fought against in this nation’s founding and on the beaches of Normandy. I am not speaking of violence or revolution, but rather a movement of ordinary Americans who know that when times are tight, you close the pocketbook and buy less. Who understand that companies create jobs and not government, unions or special interest groups. Who understand that America was founded upon basic principles that allows us all the opportunity to live freely in our beliefs despite what the majority may think. We want to be able to live our lives and to be left alone, but we are now paying attention to what you are doing, even those of us who have never paid attention before.
I would love nothing more than to go about my life working hard for what I have, raising my children with the promise that they too can enjoy life as I have enjoyed mine until recently, but the decisions currently being made in Washington, in my name, are no longer relevant. In order to protect my children’s future, we will have no choice but to take action. You are out of touch with us. You have been intoxicated by your own power and apparently you feel as entitled to the trapping of this power as someone receiving endless government assistance, but please understand it will soon come to an end.
No amount of money in your re-election “war chest” will help you, because we will vote against both parties, in order to inject new blood into Washington. We will run for office as third party candidates and we will vote for someone from some obscure third party, who you have never feared before in an election, regardless of who the mainstream media is endorsing. We will come, not with the backing of corporate America and multi-billion dollar banking empires, but with the blessing of our neighbors, family and friends in our communities, who understand that we will need to sacrifice now, so that our children and grandchildren are not left with our mess.
I would recommend that the whole lot of you begin to pack your bags now because our patience is running out and you will be replaced.
Sincerely,
Steven M. Osheyack
I am in disbelief that our representatives have voted for the Cap and Trade bill which will be the largest ever tax on us. The turncoats that voted for it are listed here, http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/27312/?ck=1.
We need Tea Party candidates to run against those that voted for it. Even though my representative voted against it, I think it is time to have different leadership across the board and I will vote for the third party candidate from now on.
Obama and Pelosi are putting us in an unmanageable position with regards to the national deficit. The debt number is unfathomable. According to the Treasury Department, which updates the number “to the penny” every few days, the national debt was $11,518,472,742,288 on Wednesday. More details here, http://apnews.myway.com/article/20090704/D997DOMG0.html.
Even our foreign relations have me scratching my head. Obama did not take a strong position for the folks in Iran who were fighting for their right for their vote to be counted. Also, our administration has the wrong side on the Honduras crisis. In Honduras, the folks are trying to protect their constitution from a dictator and we are backing the bad guy. I just do not get it.
We need a complete overhaul of Congress and the White House.
I’m sorry I don’t agree with the armed rebellion thought of action. I believe in intelligent peaceful resolution. I am well aware of what Thomas Jefferson said. But our Constution is the strongest weapon we have. Apathy and ignorance seem to be the real problems that we face. Too many peolple don’t know what to do or are completely unaware. So again I ask, what peaceful, legal measures should we take. I believe an informed citenzry is the best method. Right now we are now simply preaching to the choir. How do we go about getting those outside the choir to begin to understand what is facing us. Furthermore, we need to find out what they think on these issues. So what questions do we ask, how do we take our frustration and put it to good use. Surely among the many of us. We could come up with a questionaire that we then take out to our own communities and discuss with our neighbors and get something rolling. Signatures of concerned citizens. Not everybody will agree on all things, but the gathering of information and signatures that could then be sent to our representatives. Obtaining the book that gives the addresses of other State Legislators. Then get the message out. Your right Jodi this is the information age. But to use hacking and other means such as that only causes others to think that we are a bunch of “nuts” who should just be ignored. No, we must stand up for what we believe, but never stoop to the level of those who we are most annoyed with. We are better than that. We must prove it in every thing we say and do.
we need to get every single person in Washington dc right now voted out.
Not one person from this state in DC is doing us any good. { I live in MIChigan]
Lets send all new people to DC to represent us, instead of voting in the same ones we have now.
This crap and trade, is the worst thing that could have happened to any of us, and is going to cost us plenty.
IS it to early to impeach?
I’m reading here about armed rebellions. While I agree that we’re due a revolution right now - - - I don’t think we need to pick up arms. I think it’s time for technological revolution. That’s right - it’s the information age…where information/identities are bought, sold, changed, betrayed, etc…..INFORMATION is a commodity and I honestly think that a group of hackers and 20 minutes could change the world! While we’re talking about strategies to change this country - - - let’s cover ALL bases. I suggest that our technical community unite & fight back - - -it’s BEYOND time to fight back.
Have you heard? Greedy Pelosi wants to FORCE homeowners to reinovate our homes to be more ECO-FRIENDLY standards.
THEIR STANDARDS!
To fill their pockets more like it.
I live in Kentucky and I have cheap electicity.I am a single mother.I dont want to hear its going to cost more. Also why does President Obama think it is acceptable to force all doctors to perform abortions? What if they have religious convictions? Hes forcing gay marraige on the majority. The deficit is growing astronomically. Why cant we keep our jobs in America where they belong? Im tired of pork barrells, special interests and thousand dollar toilets. And Congress keeps giving themselves raises.Instead of fighting all over the world we should of fixed the New Orleans levy.It cost the same and we would of accomplished much more.China owns our country.
I live in the Philadelphia area, I think I will visit the Constitution Building and other sites over this 4th of July. Maybe the folks who work there, can enlighten me………….How can they (All of the folks in D.C.) get away with trampling on OUR CONSTITUTION!!??
Then I think that we need to get some sort of questionaire together, and hit the streets. House by house, find out what people are really feeling. I mean sit down with people and go over the issues that are so very important in our times. (And that does not mean Micheal Jackson, no disrespect intended.)
Then we need to find out who is interested in running in the mid-term elections and grill them and I mean grill them. And make it clear that we will not accept someone who is just pandering, but intends to restore some sanity where there presently appears to be none. I would really be intered in hearing what questions you “Tea Party” folks would ask.
Mebbe we’d better start remindin’ these…PEOPLE…that there are 3 boxes that effect change in this country: 1) the ballot box 2) the jury box 3) THE CARTRIDGE BOX!!!!
I agree with everyone here. We need a very coordinated march and maybe we need to start sending telegrams to our representatives who are making it more and more difficult to get in touch with them. I tried calling all of their offices and all I got was the busy signal so they were ignoring the overwhelming number of people trying to get them off the fence and vote against this Crap and Trade bill. I feel like it is the people against the government and they have all the cards.
I also feel that AARP needs to be condemned because they are actively supporting Obama’s health care plan. I called and told them off and cancelled my membership telling them that I would talk with as many people as possible about their lack of concern for health care or lack of health care for aging Americans.
My daughter, a divorced mom whose income is so low she qualifies for food stamps just had an income tax increas! Thank you , Mr. Obama. As for me, I am retired on S.S. I had to get a loan on my house, which was paid for after many years, in order to put a long overdue new roof it. You have no idea how difficult it was to stick to my determination to have a fixed mortgage. Everyone I spoke to in the mortgage & banking industry tried to talk me into a lower-variable rate. I stuck to my guns and got a fixed, higher rate. Hurra
Now is the time to start forcing the republicans to put up or shut up. Eight traitorous republicans made passage of this bill possible. We should demand that the republican caucas shun these creatures and eject them from the caucus. Either they are going to start demonstrating some backbone or they should all go too. It is past time that we start making our demands clear. We need to clean house starting with those who claim to agree with us. We have to start putting some teeth into our ire.
It should never be undertaken lightly or without considerable forethought, but I will not rule out the possibility of armed rebellion. First, I would like to see a very well coordinated march on Washington. Let us surround the Capitol and shout in unison that we will not be ruled in this way. At the same time, A large contingent should march on the White House at the same time and demand the same thing. If that doesn’t work, THEN arms would be the recourse.
Big Government has broken my fixed income. Without an exaggeration we may very well freeze this winter. My only hope is to get a contractor to come in and see if it is feasable for a pot belly stove.
The king of Czar’s has kissed and shook the hand of the king of terrorisum. That’s the reason For The First Time In My Adult Life, I am Scared To Be An American.
Futermore, if the government thinks I am sending any census information the the corrupt Acorn, they are NUTS.

OMG!! We have been so busy blabbing about how the awful “Dummycraps” are treating us that we somehow forgot just how low some of our so-called Republicans (RHINO’S) have sunk! Are you KIDDING ME? This cap-n-trade (or as I call it “Crap-n-trade) is the ultimate of betrayals! Next thing you know they will be passing a heating/cooling subsistence legislation so we can also pay for all the people who will be cold or dying from the heat next year. God Help US! What has happened to us????
Whatever action we need to take - under the Constitution and rule of law - to stop this totalitarian train … I’m in. And I don’t accept that we can’t “repeal, recall, impeach” … because it’s “really hard to do”. We The People are 300+ million strong. We can do anything we please. All we have to do merge our individual strengths and flex our “muscles”.
To those who take issue with doing something on Wednesday night I would say that right we need to attend the Church of Freedom … so that we are guaranteed the right to attend the church of our choice in the future.
Quote from Thomas Jefferson:
“God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. … And what country can preserve its liberties, if it’s rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.” T.Jefferson
Take from the Jefferson quote what you will … but for me, I do not advocate armed resistance … so long as we can we can preserve our freedom without it.
Or maybe we can file a class action lawsuit against the federal government for negligence/ambivalence in regards to immigration enforcement. I can speak for only myself, I feel as though my inalieinable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are being impinged, loss of wages, quality of life driven into the ground, illegals working, and I am laid off. The federal governments lack of enforcement/ambivalence, and apathy are causing a great many americans the same.
I am completely OUTRAGED at the passing of this legislation in the house of representatives. I am of the understanding that that may have been bribery going on int he house of representatives to BUY votes for this legislation. I feel as if our reps have completely told us to get screwed and that they are going to do what they want, us little people dont know what is good for us.
I am trying to think of ways to let them know we mean business. Is it possible for many of us to go to our employers payroll dept and change our W2 witholdings to the maximum allowed for a period of time, as to disrupt the cash flow going to washington? If millions of us did it for say one quarter, maybe they would see what it is like to have struggle a bit. This government, like any other BUSINESS needs cash flow to operate. I think a concerted effort on the part of the tea party movement would help get our point across.
Or maybe it will take a million person march on DC to get their attention, pitch forks optional of course.
We need to think of LEGAL/peaceful ways to get our point driven home to those crooks in DC!
Eric: Wednesday is church night for many of us. I would like to participate in this event, but can’t since I will be at church. Many also have church on Thursday evening. I would suggest a Mon or Tues night for future events. Just a suggestion.
why is no-one listening!!!!!!! I keep looking at my 16 month old little girl saying how am i going to pay or take care of her and my wife who can not work becouse of illnes my house is full of lead paint i am trying to make ends meet the state is on me to fix the problem with the paint but i just make over the amount to get a grant but i pay for health insurance 800.00 a month with these new things being past in washington i feel like putting a dagger in my heart but then i look at my daughter and say i must stand and fight for morals and freedom please let me know how i can start to help the cause i dont have much time being i have to work alot of houres but what ever i can do i will
tom
in the fight
To the “Representatives” who voted “Yea” on the cap-n-trade bill:
Why are you doing this to the American people and to youselves come 2010 elections?!? Did you all not know that when you pull this cheap stunt, the American people are not going to forget this? What the hell is wrong with you folks in D.C.?!? You are all only setting yourselves up to epic fail and career losses. CUT IT OUT!!!
Love,
One of your 365 million + bosses.
