We had an excellent turnout in Spokane, Washington. I estimate between 6,500 and 10,000, a much higher figure than is actually being reported. Our neighbors over in Coeur d’Alene also had a pretty good turn out. During the entire event cars were driving by on the street and honking in support Sometimes they got so loud one could barely hear the speakers.

We had a tea party in Boone, North Carolina (population 15,000). A couple of concerned citizens organized the tea party and we were thrilled to have 350 or so people there! The local students as Appalachian State University also held a tea party earlier in the day but I do not know how many attended.

    Organizer Port St.Lucie Florida.
What a great turn out! We had about 600 people show up.. with special guest “Homeland Security” ?? Yes..we protested outside the I.R.S building so because it was federal property I guess they showed up. The greatest part was that they actually had the nerve to start to move up and down the crowd and folks were telling them “we aren’t extremist!” “What are you doing here”!..(here is the good part) Our Sheriff office zoomed over and told them to step aside this is OUR jurisdiction, yours is the federal building parking lot. (get to stepp’n) How cool was that of them. There was also a Black limo that pulled into that parking lot and remained there throughout the event. Who was it? Hmm. I was hoping it was Charlie Crist, I would have renamed the event “A RINO’s farwell parade!!

We went to the MORRISTOWN NJ TEA PARTY. They expected a few hundred, got 2000!!!! IT WAS THE LARGEST IN THE ENTIRE STATE!!! Despite the rain (and hail at times) people kept coming and coming. It was absolutely AMAZING! Great job EVERYONE!!! Let’s KEEP IT UP! We DO surround THEM!

  5. Christine Curkendall says:

I attended the Tea Tax party in Endicott, NY, and was overwhelmed by the amount of people that attended–at least 200! All with the same message - stop taxing us to death, keep our freeedoms, and reduce government spending.

We need to EDUCATE our family, friends and neighbors - we need to KNOW who is running our goverment and what they are doing, and then formulate your own educated opinion and ACT!!! Vote the self-serving OUT that don’t represent their constituents. We need common-sense candidates - where are you?! Where are the candidates that will honor their oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States?

What a glorious and memorable day! I’ve watched coverage on Fox News tonight and the scenes from The Alamo with Glenn Beck gave me chills, Wow…. My brother and his wife attended the Tea Party in Nashville and said it was insane. Even my Dad went to the event in Owensboro, Ky and said he loved it. I was at a rally today in Williamstown Ky - just a hundred people or so - and even a left wing crackpot lawyer who felt he had to speak for big government couldn’t break our spirit.
This is just the beginning. It HAS to be. Stand Up and Let Your Voices Be Heard. We need to take back our country!

  7. Amy Hale says:

Augusta, ME had 1,000 people. It was a great day!! Everyone was engaged. There was a line for the table to get more info and for signing up to help. I am extremely happy with how the Tea Party went.

  8. Pat Leary says:

I attended the Chicago Tea Party at lunchtime. It was a very respectful group. I met some nice people.

I’m mad about the number of executive orders President Obama has pushed through. I have lost count. I think this is bad because it bypasses the legislative branch, which is where we get our (supposed) representation!

  9. John in Mount Arlington, says:

I noticed how obviously the liberal media, including Yahoo, MSN and even Optonline, have tried to minimize these Tea Tax Protests.

If this had been a “pro-abortion” rally, they would have been all over it, giving it the most support that they could.

Get with it people. The “left” is out to own this country, and then you won’t have a say in anything.

  10. Zech says:

hey you guys are the best I love it that you guys did that I’m only 14 so I had to go to school but that was awesome!!!

  11. kathy in Houston says:

How about Fox news coverage, everyone else is trying to ignore the fact that most people are sick of their constitutional rights being stripped before our very eyes. So glad for all that turned out. They can’t stand that conservatives are finally gathering together with a voice, bet this was a real shocker. We have to stand up for our constitution or the left and liberals will shred it.

Benjamin Franklin said “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety”

  12. Phyllis S says:

Went to the Morristown NJ tea party and it was GREAT - what a turnout even though the weather was awful. We are on our way - and we need to keep the momentum going.

  13. Doug Price says:

What an incredible day. We had over 2,000 just in Charlotte. My friends around the country reported similar turnout. People were ready for action!

For after the tea party ideas, check out http://www.aftertheteparty.com. Seems you can also text “aftertea” to 41411 also.

  14. If you wanna know how it went for me!!! WOOT! WOOT!

  15. Tom Knott says:

I am so angry at the way the mainstream liberal media has characterized this movement. I suggest that we boycott any supporter of these biased media outlets in a plea for real honesty in journalism.

As for our government at EVERY level…
ALL incumbents must go!!!!!!! ALL incumbents must go!!!!!!!

  16. Jen says:

Abingdon, Virginia Tea Party was great. Good crowd, good speakers, proof positive there is hope for America yet… not everyone is dancing along with the pied piper down Socialism Road. We need change WE can believe in in 2010 & 2012.

  17. What a great day. The TeaParty Organizers and the Catholic Conservative Women’s League here out of the Geneva, IL area allowed me to speak at the event without prior notice that I would be attending.

They took a chance, and I am humbled for the opportunity to share my thoughts.

I’ll have my remarks posted on my blog as soon as I can.

  18. Lyn says:

My husband and I went to two Tea Parties. Uptown Charlotte and our town Mooresville. We had a great time and felt proud to be part of history…yes, we do consider the Tea Parties historic.

  19. Leroy Montgomery says:

I say let the government tax the cigeratess and alcohol.
